After a 2010 third place finish in the NL West the Colorado Rockies made one of the biggest splashes in the majors.  No, there were no trades or free agent acquisitions but the move will keep two Rockies players in Colorado up and until the 2020.  Shortstop Troy Tulowitzki signed a 10-year $157.75 million contract while RF Carlos Gonzalez inked a 7-year $80 million deal.

The team acquired RHP Matt Lindstrom and RHP Felipe Paulino in a trade with the Houston Astros.  They also inked free agents Ty Wigginton and 3B Joe Crede as well as secured INF Jose Lopez in a trade with the Seattle Mariners

Look for your Rockies to get back to the playoffs in 2011 and make a push for the NL West Title.
